The Panoramic portal for Switzerland and its merchants –www.swissalive.ch —is open for business

May 6, 2010 Geneva, Switzerland - ShopAlive SA, developer of a new and innovative e-commerce solution using panoramic images and 3D Internet for storefronts, today introduced its flagship service, SwissAlive.

www.swissalive.ch is the world’s first Web destination using ShopAlive to provide a panoramic image-based interface of local spaces including tourist attractions, business districts and the interior of retail businesses.

Using ShopAlive’s innovative turnkey hosted service platform, merchants can rely on SwissAlive to showcase their physical and/or their virtual retail environments for customers on the web and on mobile. How it works ?

A panoramic photographer captures the brick-and-mortar retail space using special lenses and uploads the image (a spherical panorama) to the Web. If there is no physical space, a 3D shop can be created using drag-and-drop elements of standard commercial spaces.

SwissAlive merchants quickly create their fully interactive commercial spaces using ShopAlive’s authoring tool called PanoShop.

This Rich Internet Applications allows the merchant to:

• edit panoramic images and create new 3D retail spaces for shoppers,
• create information-packed hotspots indicating where products are for sale in the image,
• create complete inventory searchable by customers who are looking to buy,
• manage inventory for both e-commerce (on-line) and physical sales using one interface,
• set up and launch marketing campaigns using ShopAlive and third party tools,

• prepare shipping labels for e-commerce purchases, and
